Since Ariana Grande said in an interview that her favourite thing to eat was hummus and veggies, I decided I'd finally give it a shot.
Hummus always seemed weird to me and don't even get me started on the smell. But once I tried it, I was obsessed. Cucumbers are super boring without it. I started out with the store bought stuff which is kind of expensive and you're not totally sure what's in it. Then I discovered how easy it is to make thanks to my mom. I also decided to try a recipe from Pinterest when I couldn't remember how mom made it (I was too lazy to ask her).
- 1 can chickpeas
- 2-4 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4-1/2 salt
Though the list of ingredients may seem overwhelming, you simply just toss them all into the food processor (aka the love of my life) and voila - homemade garlic hummus. I'd recommend refrigerating it before eating it, but it's also perfectly fine to consume post-processing. Everyone's consistency preference is different, this one is thicker than others. This recipe gets a 9/10.
