Change Your Story, Change Your Life
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
-Marianne Williamson, A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles
Every one of us is a storyteller. The story we chose to tell we think serves us. But that’s not always the case. Some of our stories are rooted in limited beliefs; make us small, and are disempowering. As a transformational trainer I assist my clients to discern whether or not their stories are serving them.
Why is this important?
To create a positive change, or a transformation, you must take action from a place of self-love and align with belief systems that serve you. Taking actions from a place of limitation does not get desired results from your workouts and from your life.
If you aren’t getting positive results your story is likely rooted in victim consciousness and often translates to I’m NOT ENOUGH. This belief system will derail you from your goals.
Staying Soul Centered
Each one of us has a soul. And in life there are events, situations, circumstances that are created in order to help your soul grow. This sometimes leads to emotional and or physical pain. Too many times people get stuck in their story. The EGO part of you loves a great story. It loves drama and loves to share the drama with anyone that will listen. However, your soul is interested in the lesson.
Shifting from Egocentrism to Empowerment
A shift in your thoughts; moving from victimization consciousness:
“What is this here to teach me?”
Leads us to a path way towards positive transformation.
When you choose an empowering mind-set you will see that your supposed obstacles and challenges are required for your growth and learning. Everything in life is happening FOR you and not TO you. It is all divinely orchestrated to help your evolution.
So what stops us from being great, brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
The answer is FEAR.
Lets Get Spiritual
“If you don’t have a spiritual practice, or a belief that you are a part of a greater being that is solid: that you are connected to and that keeps you grounded you will experience a lot of fear”
A spiritual practice will allow you to face the fear head on, learn what it represents, and how to positively move foreword. It will allow you to stay on the path of transformative changes mind, body and spirit.
It all begins with a shift in consciousness. Changing your limited story can literally change your life.
The Pathway to Change
The following questions may help you receive more clarity about your story:
What story have you been telling lately?
Does your story empower you and/or others?
Is it serving you?
Does it allow you to fully step into your power?
Does it allow you to be authentic?
Is it the truth?
Take your time and answer these questions honestly.
