KITCHEN VIRGINS: Hot Chocolate
Just when it feels like winter is over and we have some nice spring-like days, BAM! Well if you’re looking for something to keep you warm or even something to cozy up with year-round, you’re in for a real treat with this easy guilt-free hot chocolate.
All you need is a cup of almond milk and a tablespoon of raw cacao powder. You can either warm up the milk on the stove or the microwave (I did the latter) and then mix in the cacao powder. This requires more patience then you’d expect as I later discovered on the World Wide Web that almond milk doesn’t mix well - I thought I was doing something wrong.
Once it’s all mixed up, it’s ready to enjoy with your favourite book or your next Netflix binge-watching session. If you have a sweet tooth, I’d suggest adding a natural sweetener like Stevia as it is a tad bitter, but overall I’d give this recipe an 8/10.
