Getting Out of Your Head

Happy Tuesday HIH family!

Today I wanted to talk to you about something that has always been a part of who I am. I always overthink! … Always. No matter what it is, I have the tendency to overthink things that are just out of my control. As much as I try to remind myself that these are things I cannot change or control I still overthink.

As I’ve started to begin my career the more I over think about things such as, what people think of me and am I good enough? Now will I always know the answers to these questions? Probably not … and that’s something I have to come to terms with. “There are just some things I cannot control” has become my new mantra. I have to remind myself, I am who I am and either that is enough or it’s not. Not everything will work out and guess what? That’s okay!

I wanted to share some tips to getting out of your head with some of my other over thinkers!

1.    Remember all you have to hand is the present moment

2.    Have a mantra that you always stick to

3.    Don’t judge your thoughts!

4.    No regrets #YOLO

Now I know these seem all easier said than done but when you start to implement them, they make a big difference!
