Amazing Goal-Setting Prompts To Make August Your Best Month Yet

Can you believe that summer is almost over already!? (I know, I know… I won’t remind you. Instead, I’m gonna help make things happen for you.)

If you feel like you’re still scrambling to get more focused this summer - whether it’s in your career, your social life, your personal life, your health, and fitness, you name it - then, this article is for you.

One of the key ways to ensure that you’re operating at your best, most productive self each month is GOAL SETTING. If you’re really serious about getting shit done, you absolutely NEED to have goals. And, I don’t mean just thinking about them briefly and then pushing them aside. I’m talking about chunking out some time at the beginning of each month to really evaluate last month’s accomplishments and set goals & intentions for the month ahead - and actually, WRITE THEM ALL DOWN.

In doing this, you get to celebrate the things you did well, reflect on the things that need improvement and focus on how much further you have yet to go. And I’m a firm believer in the idea that when you put your goals & intentions out into the world, eventually you will watch them come right back to you.

Ready to get started? Here are some quality goal-setting prompts and questions to help you reframe your mindset and really drive home on the goals that are most important to you in order to make August your best month yet:


STEP 1: Evaluating Your Past

Write down the TOP 3 goals you accomplished, struggled with and are still working to achieve over the past month.

STEP 2: Assessing The Present

Now, let’s take a look at where you are currently. Write down the TOP 3 qualities, habits or characteristics you currently possess that fit into each subheading.

STEP 3: Looking Toward The Future

Finally, let’s get granular! What goals do you want to achieve this month in each factor of your life? Why do you want to achieve them? How will addressing the past two steps get you there?


What major thing do I want to focus on/achieve this month - whether it’s a career goal, personal goal, relational/social goal? (You can write down multiple goals too!)


If these 'big asks' are achieved, how will I celebrate?


What is the underlying purpose of WHY I want to achieve this goal?
