Klorane Canada Shampoo Review – for Oily Hair!
If you had the chance to read my last hair care review, you would know that I’ve been a long-time sufferer of oily hair. I’m here to tell all of you ladies and gents out there who face the wrath of oily hair that you’re not alone! This is something that’s been a constant struggle of mine, but luckily there are all of these new products targeted toward different types of hair, making it a little easier to cope without the baby powder or loads of dry shampoo, leaving us with oily hair to skip a hair wash or two.
A couple months ago I was lucky enough to receive a package from our friends at Klorane Canada. I let them know just what I was looking for and they didn’t hesitate with asking any questions which was super helpful, with that being said they recommended their Shampoo with Nettle for Oily Hair, as well as their Oil-Suppressing Dry Shampoo.
After their recommendations, I decided to do a bit of further research on my own. I discovered that nettle is a European perennial plant belonging to the Urticacae family and is traditionally used as an astringent and reinvigorator. As per Klorane Canada’s website “Klorane selected Urtica dioca L. species because it is rich in Scopoletin, a polycyclic compound. It is cultivated in Eastern Europe using techniques that respect the surrounding ecosystem. The quality of the plants harvested is controlled and they left to dry naturally in the sun. Klorane then concentrates the active agent in the form of an extract, which is incorporated in Klorane Shampoo with Nettle. This shampoo very gently and naturally absorbs oil, and prevents hair from looking too quickly. Hair is supple and light. Dermatologically tested.” – How neat!
I have been using this shampoo for over two months now and what I can say, is that this is one of the first shampoos that I have used that do not require for me to give my hair an extra wash every day to get rid of unwanted oils. For the first time in a long while I am able to skip a hair wash with what began with every other day to now every couple of days and sometimes every three days. One thing I did notice is that the shampoo is quite watery and not as thick as most shampoos, so you usually do have to use a good amount to have it absorb into your hair, but I imagine this is because the shampoo is free of sulfates and parabens.
I can definitely say that this brand delivers what they preach. They are an eco-responsible brand with more than just hair products, but skin and body care as well, which are all made in France from carefully selected plant-based natural ingredients.
It is nice to know exactly what you are absorbing into your body, without all the unknown chemicals. I hope you explore further into Klorane Canada’s products and get the same satisfaction I did!
