The Power of Creating a Morning Routine
Mornings can be tough. It’s hard to pry yourself out of the comfort of your bed. But developing a good morning routine can lead you to actually looking forward to waking up. I would say that I’m a morning person because I allow myself time in the morning to do things that set me up to have a good day.
It’s so important to get your body moving. Whether you like to workout in the morning or simply just do some stretching, it will help wake your body up and let it know it’s time to get active. Also, getting your heart rate up early on in the day will really help you stay awake.
Fueling your body with good food is something that I always look forward to when I wake up. I’m always so excited to eat breakfast and get my day started. If you’re not a breakfast person, looking forward to your cup of coffee or tea is also something to take into consideration. Whatever gets you excited to wake up can act as your motivation. Having a good breakfast or cup of coffee can kick start your day and keep you energized to get things done.
Knowing what you need to do and when to do it during your day is a key part of the morning. Planning out things you need to get done throughout the day allows you to stay organized and on top of all of your tasks. It keeps you on track and avoids stress because you know exactly what you need to accomplish for the day. I personally love having my tea and writing down my to-do list in my planner, it gives me a layout of how the day will unfold.
So often our mornings can feel rushed. We just get up, get ready, and head out the door. An important factor in creating a morning routine is saving a little bit of time just for you. Whether you’d like to read a couple chapters of your book or just being still for a minute. Having that time for yourself will help you before your day starts.
