I’ll tell you now - it’s not a particular program or supplement or type of exercise. It’s not doing X amount of cardio, or eating X amount of calories per day. After struggling to lose weight for my entire teenage years, I learned that the secret sauce to achieving long-term weight loss truly comes down to one core belief.

There’s a big difference there. (And I say this because I’ve been at both ends of the spectrum.)
I remember absolutely HATING my body all throughout my teenage years. I tried literally every form of exercise and weight loss program out there, just to try to change it. To be smaller. To take up less space. To look better, more beautiful, more lovable (the list goes on). From personal training, to big box gyms, bootcamps, kickboxing, spin class, P90X, Insanity - you name it, I had tried it all.
And do you know why NONE of them had any lasting effect on my body?
It’s because (trust me on this!) - you can’t hate yourself skinny.
No matter how many programs and meal plans and workout guides you try. No matter how much money you throw at a personal trainer or specialist. You will NEVER be able to make any lasting changes to your body and lifestyle if you are constantly looking at yourself in the mirror and picking apart all the reasons why you’re not good enough.
Truthfully, I feel like I had to go on that soul-searching journey to actually learn this lesson the hard way, and I’m SO THANKFUL that I did.
But, you don’t have to.
You can learn from all of my mistakes, and all of the years I spent chasing an unreachable goal and decide RIGHT NOW that you are absolutely and 100% beautiful, just the way you are.
