This Mother’s Day, I wanted to show my gratitude and love for everything my mom does for my family and I. make sure you take the time out today to tell your mom(s) you love them! xo
Happy Mother’s Day! I’ve pondered a lot about what how to show my gratitude and love for you on this day, so I thought I’d write it down to try my best to explain it in words.
I am so proud to be called your daughter. I couldn’t thank you for showing us what absolute unconditional love actually is. You always put own happiness before your own. Every time you’re around, things just seem right. I feel safe whenever I’m with you, knowing that you will protect me in any situation.
You were there for everything. You put up with my unpredictable, incomprehensible mood swings, and countered them with love and kindness. You have forgiven every snide comment, slammed door, eye roll, and attempt to free ourselves from one of your everlasting hugs. Thank you for seeing the goodness in me when I couldn’t or when I didn’t deserved it.
You were my best friend through my first heartbreak; your shoulder was the most comforting to cry on. Thank you for reminding me every day that I deserve love and happiness. I know that even on my saddest days, I’ll never truly be alone.
You are the much-needed reality check for when I’m overwhelmed, yet you believe in me more than I do myself. Thank you for pushing me to be my best self, but also encouraging me to relax when I’ve overworked myself.
Thank you for being my role model. You show me every day that a strong, independent woman looks like.
Thank you for being my workout buddy. You are my motivation and the person that drags my butt to the gym when I really don’t want too, and I will always be grateful for that. I love that we both love being active, and moving our bodies. You are so strong and so empowering, I strive to be like you every day.
This letter could be longer, but I wanted to keep it short and to the point. Mom, you’re the best person in my life, and I can’t wait to make more memories with you. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us. I love ya so much momma!
