If you are looking for a special reason to treat yourself to something extra nice, today is your day because, July 24th is International Self-Care Day!
As a Registered Psychotherapist and a Wellness Consultant, I understand the great importance of taking care of one self. We live in a fast-paced world and the beauty to an enjoyable life is taking the time to enjoy it. Here are a few ideas and tips on how you can celebrate, International Self-Care Day.
Do something that is special for you! Go for that massage you have been thinking about, stop by your favourite manicure/pedicure place and get your nails done.
Stop by the park or your favourite coffee shop on your way home and savour the moment and the beautiful scenery.
Visit your favourite art gallery, by yourself, with a friend or special someone. Take a bubble bath, or sit down and watch your favourite movie or binge listen to your favourite music.
Text/call a friend or family member and wish them a Happy International Self Care Day and encourage them to do something special for themselves.
Text/call a friend and go out together to celebrate International Self Care Day with one another over a glass of wine, a meal, or grab a gelato and go for a walk along the waterfront. International Self Care day is a day to care of yourself – treat yourself to something that is special for you.
