Happy International Self-Care Day!

If you are looking for a special reason to treat yourself to something extra nice, today is your day because, July 24th is International Self-Care Day! 

As a Registered Psychotherapist and a Wellness Consultant, I understand the great importance of taking care of one self. We live in a fast-paced world and the beauty to an enjoyable life is taking the time to enjoy it. Here are a few ideas and tips on how you can celebrate, International Self-Care Day.

  • Do something that is special for you! Go for that massage you have been thinking about, stop by your favourite manicure/pedicure place and get your nails done. 

  • Stop by the park or your favourite coffee shop on your way home and savour the moment and the beautiful scenery. 

  • Visit your favourite art gallery, by yourself, with a friend or special someone. Take a bubble bath, or sit down and watch your favourite movie or binge listen to your favourite music. 

  • Text/call a friend or family member and wish them a Happy International Self Care Day and encourage them to do something special for themselves.

  • Text/call a friend and go out together to celebrate International Self Care Day with one another over a glass of wine, a meal, or grab a gelato and go for a walk along the waterfront.  International Self Care day is a day to care of yourself – treat yourself to something that is special for you.
