MC’s Smoothie for Time of the Month


If you read my first article written with Chloe you will know that I really (REALLY) struggle with my period cramps. We are all different so our bodies need different things during this time, but I have come up with a lovely smoothie that fuels me during those first few days.



  • 2 Bananas

  • 1 1/2 cups of berry/cherry/strawberry/beetroot mix

  • 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter

  • Oat milk (quantity depends on what you want as a consistency).

  • 1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

  • 1 Teaspoon of Turmeric powder


  • Spinach

Bananas have always helped me in SO many situations including my time of the month. I used to have banana sandwiches when I was sick as a child so I think I naturally gravitate towards bananas to heal me, but the potassium in Bananas is also so helpful.

Turmeric is also an anti-inflammatory, which will help with cramps.
