I think it’s safe to say that we all know the importance of self-care. The notion that self-care is an act of selfishness is now gone (thank goodness!) and we have realized that it’s something to be practiced every day; a true necessity to living a healthy life. Self-care can take on so many different forms: exercise, cooking nutritious meals, manicures/pedicures, face masks (a personal favourite of mine), curling up with a good book, etc. But I think one self-care category that we tend to forget about is sleep. I have experienced this type of insomnia before during times of stress, and it’s easy to feel like this is out of my control.Read More
