GUESS WHO? It’s me, Chloe WIlde.
I’m baaaaaack. Ok, maybe I never left, but I certainly took a bit of a backseat in terms of writing for Healthy is Hot while getting the podcast up and running. Now that we’re in the swing of things, it’s time to get back to what i used to love; writing. And writing about all the components that make HIH: mental health, physical health, nutritional health, career health and of course, the last bucket is all about what sets your soul on fire.Read More
I would like to introduce my fellow HIH readers to my friend Ryan Wright.
I wanted all of the HIH Community to learn more about the inspirational movement Ryan is creating by collecting basketball shoes and then donating them to kids and adults who cannot afford them. In doing so he is promoting the wonderful sport of basketball that has brought so much love, passion and home town pride to Toronto this year.Read More
It seems like more often than not, we all struggle to find a healthy work/life balance. Whether you are 25 and single or 40 and happily married with children, it is typically very difficult to manage career and our personal lives.
Because I work in social media, and essentially from my phone, I have a hard time disconnecting when I leave the office. I use social media a lot in my personal life, so I am usually always on my phone. That being said, with one touch of a button, I can easily switch to the accounts I manage for work and get caught up responding to comments and answering direct messages even when I am out of the office.Read More
When I was pregnant with my first child 11 years ago, a spinner of mine offered me a photo shoot with Helen Tansey as a ‘baby gift’. Little did I know this encounter would result in me meeting a person that would become a dear friend of mine whilst capturing some of the most beautiful moments in my life. Helen Tansey is a photographer. She works out of a quaint little studio in Toronto, and has a warm and loving energy that makes you feel instantly at ease in her presence. Helen is well known for head shots, pregnancy/family shoots and is hired for offsite shoots as well. Within the last couple of years she took on a new project that really moved me. She created a series of photo essays called Sundari Woman to chronicle the beauty of the natural aging process of women over 40. She uses the art of photography to capture a moment that exudes true pure beauty, and makes her subjects feel special and beautiful. In a time where women have come so far in fighting for their rights in the workplace, within politics and to be treated as equals, Helen showcases the true natural beauty that comes with aging. I wanted our readers to meet this brilliantly talented Toronto photographer, so I invited her to share parts of her journey with all of us.Read More
