My Struggle With Anxiety

Mental health was never a topic of conversation. I didn’t understand it and couldn’t relate to it. High school did not prepare me for what I would encounter.

My roommate in first year college experienced anxiety, and I didn’t get it. She would get upset and tell me she couldn’t write her paper or go to the gym. I was so confused. I didn’t get it until I started to feel it.

I told you so, sincerely your intuition

Since we were little, we’ve been told how important it is to trust our gut. Questioning a decision? What does your gut tell you? Feeling a little uneasy in a situation and not sure why? That’s your intuition letting you know something’s up.

The unfortunate part is that as much as we are told to listen to those feelings, they often get squashed by the opinions of others, work, relationships, and the list goes on. I had damn near lost mine a few years ago but after backpacking solo through Europe for a few months, with only my intuition to go off of, I quickly learned how to trust it and myself again.

Now I understand not everyone can quit their job, pick-up and runaway to Europe (though I highly recommend it), to learn how to flex that muscle, but there are ways you can practice channeling your thoughts, trusting who you are, and what you want. I talk about my skin and I being on a journey together, and I would love to share my journey with you all.

This Is The Secret Sauce Of Weight Loss

Wanna know the TRUE secret sauce to achieving long-term weight loss?

I’ll tell you now - it’s not a particular program or supplement or type of exercise. It’s not doing X amount of cardio, or eating X amount of calories per day. After struggling to lose weight for my entire teenage years, I learned that the secret sauce to achieving long-term weight loss truly comes down to one core belief.

Are you ready for it?

“I train because I LOVE my body, not because I hate it.”

There’s a big difference there. (And I say this because I’ve been at both ends of the spectrum.)
