The Best Healthy Summer Smoothies on The Go!

Whether it is work, the gym, school or a last-minute appointment, a good smoothie has always been my go-to when I am in a hurry! This tasty snack takes less than ten minutes to make and has no limitations to its ingredient list. Not only is it perfect for on-the-go, but a rich smoothie is packed with an abundance of nutrients that support a balanced diet and healthy immune system. Below I will be sharing with you some of my go-to summer smoothies that keep me full, nourished and most importantly healthy for the summer!

Smoothie #1: Berry Blast

Berry blast has been incorporated within my diet for years, and is an easy, fresh smoothie that can be thrown together with common household fruits and your own choice of milk and nut butter!

What you will need:

  • 1 cup nut milk (whichever you prefer)

  • ½ cup frozen blueberries

  • ½ cup of frozen strawberries

  • 2 tbs almond or peanut butter

  • 2 tbs chia seeds

  • 2 tbs Greek yogurt

Smoothie #2: King Kale

The next smoothie is easily my favourite when I am looking for a filling, yet healthy and nutritious snack. This loaded kale smoothie has the perfect mix of vanilla, kale and nut flavours, and is the perfect way to get your greens in for the day.

What you will need:

  • 1 cup of nut milk (whichever you prefer)

  • ½ cup of kale

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 2 tbs of nut butter

  • 2 tbs maple syrup

  • Handful of cashews

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • A few ice cubes (may vary depending on how thick you like it!)

Smoothie #3: Nuts for Chocolate

For all my chocoholics, this one's for you! This smoothie is rich, sweet and tastes like a Reese's peanut butter cup, yet maintains the same health benefits of the previous recipes. It is the perfect vice for when you need to satisfy that sweet tooth while continuing to maintain your health and fitness goals!

What you will need:

  • 1 cup nut milk (whichever you prefer)

  • ½ cup cocoa powder

  • 3 tbsp nut butter

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp cocoa nibs

  • ½ cup ice

 Smoothie #4: Lean Green

Last but certainly not least, this smoothie is light, fresh and the perfect morning detox for when you are feeling bloated. On a Monday morning when I am ready to start my week off right, this is the first thing I put into my body that makes me feel energetic and bright!

What you will need:

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1 cup chopped apple

  • 1 squeezed lemon

  • ½ frozen banana

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)

I hope you have the chance to try these amazing smoothies throughout the summer and make sure to let us know how you like them!
